The Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ambedkar Nagar is a district-level Farm Science Center established on 10th May 2010 by the Narendra Dev University of Agriculture & Technology (NDUAT), Kumarganj, Faizabad. KVK has acquired a total of 18.33 ha of land. It is a 100% ICAR New Delhi-sponsored scheme for the speedy transfer of technology on the farmer's fields.
KVK Ambedkar Nagar has adopted five villages namely Panti, Bhatauli, Badepur, Itwa, and Umarpur of blocks Katehari, Tanda, Jalalpur, Bhiti, and Akbarpur to provide technical input and transfer of appropriate technology. KVK provides services for the farming community, and rural population particularly farm women and rural youths. It also gives in-service training to extension functionaries.
Integrated efforts for intensive work to perform better for the upliftment of rural people particularly the farming community and the unemployed rural youth.
To transfer technologies for enhancement, growth and development of agriculture and allied production for improving quality of life of farm families along with rural and urban masses through techniques and principles of transfer of technology by qualified professionals.
The present mandate of KVK in general is :
‘Technology Assessment & Demonstration for Application (TADA) & Capacity Development (CD).
